Giants sign 5 to Ikusei contracts, reassign Ikusei numbers

The Yomiuri Giants announced on Wednesday that they signed the following five players to Ikusei contracts: Shota Kimura, Takefumi Miyamoto, Atsushi Yachida, Takahiro Ijuin, Yukinori Momiyama. Kimura and Miyamoto were both on the 70-man roster this past season but neither made it to the active roster this year and were released and then re-signed to Ikusei contracts. Yachida, Ijuin, and Momiyama were released as Ikusei players and are returning as Ikusei players.
The Giants also announced new uniform numbers for their Ikusei players.
