Seibu Lions News and Notes: November 14, 2010

The Seibu Lions played a practice game against the Hiroshima Carp and won, 2-0.  Fumikazu Kimura entered the game in the 5th and apparently pitched well (he topped out at 148km/h) but left the game after getting hit by a come-backer (right shoulder) to the mound in the 6th with 1 out.  The injury wasn't serious and Kimura told reporters after the game that he should have been able to grab the ball and that he planned on taking extra fielding practice to make sure he was ready for it the next time around.

G.G. Sato started playing catch today (at a distance of about 15m) for the first time since he had his shoulder cleaned on 9/28.  After playing catch, Sato worked on hitting a tennis ball with a racket (swapping between using his left and right hand).
