According to Nikkan Sports: Seems the Dragons aren't willing to talk about the future with Chen's agent Alan Nero. Chen belongs to the JPBPA and as such is required to use an NPB certified lawyer when discussing contracts. Since Nero isn't certified, the club is apparently taking the stance that they won't talk contract until he hires a JPBPA certified lawyer.
The Dragons also said that if Chen simply wants to exchange opinions, the club will be more than happy to talk to him directly and not through Nero.
According to Sponichi, Chunichi Dragons' president, Junnosuke Nishikawa, apparently told reporters yesterday that they had no intention of posting Wei-Ying Chen. The article also mentions that the Dragons still own his rights, but doesn't reveal anything more about the contract the Dragons have with Chen (as in how long they actually own his rights).
