The Hiroshima Carp apparently offered Seiichi Uchikawa a 3-year deal worth 600M yen today.
Said Uchikawa about his talks with Hiroshima, "I felt they were taking this very seriously when they said this could be a historic moment [for the club]. Nomura asked that I help change the team. ... I feel really confused now. I want to hear what other clubs have to offer, but I can't imagine throwing away the 10 years I was with Yokohama."
As mentioned earlier, the Softbank Hawks are rumored to have offered Toru Hosokawa a 4-year deal worth 500M yen.
Hosokawa's impression of his talks: "We had a nice talk. And they gave more a solid offer. ... It's all about how much they need me as a catcher and how often they plan on using me."
