Via Nikkan Sports: Hiroki Kuroda posted an update to his blog that mentions how happy he was when he received an offer from the Hiroshima Carp and that if he returned to Japan, it would have been with the Carp. He then went on the explain why he decided to continue playing in the US (he finally managed to have a season in which he was somewhat satisfied with his performance and it seems he had it in the back of him mind to pitch a fourth season if he thought it was possible since the Dodgers originally offered him a 4-year deal) and also regretted the stir he caused.
The Angels are apparently interested in Hisanori Takahashi. They are also said to be looking into Hiroyuki Kobayashi.
The Brewers may also be preparing to offer Takahashi a multi-year deal. According to Takahashi's agent, Arn Tellem, 5-6 clubs have contacted him about Takahashi.
Hideki Matsui (still in the US) started his training for the 2011 season on the 17th. He did some running (50-60 meter distances), played some catch, and swung the bat about 100 times (all told, about 2 hours worth of practice). Incidentally, for the 2010 season, Matsui didn't swing a bat until after he returned to the US in February.
