Yoshihiro Doi is planning on flying out to Los Angeles on the 26th in order to pitch in front of a number of MLB scouts.  Doi wants to play in the US and is apparently willing to take a minor league deal.

According to Sponichi, the Diamondbacks are preparing a 2-year deal worth US$3M (about 250M yen) for Hiroyuki Kobayashi.

Nikkan Sports is getting excited about the possibility of the Tigers going after Hideki Matsui and placing a bid for Tsuyoshi Nishioka.  And a separate Nikkan Sports article included quotes from Hisashi Iwakuma about the prospect of having Matsui as a teammate, since the A's are also believed to be interested in Matsui.

Sports Hochi reports that the White Sox might be looking into Matsui, Hisanori Takahashi and Takashi Saito and has a quote from White Sox GM Ken Williams talking about how having 2 or more Japanese players on the team might be better than just having 1 because then they can confide in each other.
