Hanshin Tigers News and Notes: November 22, 2010

Shinji Komiyama spent his day off on Sunday working out for about 2 hours at Naruohama.  Komiyama is apparently trying to squeeze in as much practice as he can before he gets busy with other team-related duties.

Yuya Nohara took an athleticism test yesterday and found that his vertical leap improved (up 5cm to 62cm).  Keichi Hirano ended with the best results.

The Tigers will be moving Robert Zarate to a new dorm they'll be setting up in January.  Seems Zarate will be able to bike the distance from the new dorm to Naruohama.

===

While Norihiro Nakamura would love a chance to play for the Tigers (in whatever role and at whatever price), it seems the Tigers have no room for him.

Yuya Ando made a bet with Tomoaki Kanemoto before the start of the 2010 season that went like: 14 or more wins and Kanemoto owes Ando an expensive wristwatch; 9 or fewer wins and Ando has to get his hair curled (punch perm).  Since Ando finished the year with only 3 wins, he technically has to get his hair curled, but it seems like he's dragging his feet a bit.

Fumitaka Ito will be joining the front office in older to help bolster the player development department.
