Senichi Hoshino met with club sponsors in Tokyo earlier today. Hoshino spoke during the meeting and said that this would likely be his last run as manager and that he would appreciate their support during his last stretch run. He also said that his dream was to face the Hanshin Tigers at the Nippon Series.
After the meeting, Hoshino told reporters that he still wanted a closer and that he had narrowed the search down to about 5 names and was hoping to decide on one by March.

Masahiro Tanaka was forced to shout out "I love / like you!" during a shouting contest at yesterday's Pro Yakyu All-Star Sports Festival 2010. He was being teased by other players about his relationship with Mai Satoda.
If Akinori Iwamura and Kazuo Matsui have the AKB acronym, then Takeshi Yamasaki wants the TIM acronym. That stands for a Japanese phrase that basically works out to "Takeshi and current members should show what they're capable of doing."
