Saito, Giants to give Okinawa an economic boost during spring camp

by on Dec.12, 2010 @ 10:13 pm, under NPB

Okinawa's Ryugin Research Institute figures that spring camp next season could have an economic impact that goes over the 8M yen mark (an all-time high since the NPB started turning to Okinawa as a spring camp training destination in 1979).

The institute figures that the largest factor in the increase will be the combination of Yuki Saito (Nippon Ham holds their spring camp in Okinawa), the Yomiuri Giants (they're going to hold their second round of spring camp in Okinawa), and the return of Senichi Hoshino.
