Hanshin Tigers: Jason Standridge gets a 40M yen raise

The Hanshin Tigers announced today that they re-signed Jason Standridge to a 1-year extension worth 100M yen (up 40M yen) plus incentives.

In other team news:

The Tigers still have no idea when Kenji Jojima will be able to return.  But Akinobu Mayumi did tell reporters today that their 4-game exhibition game road trip between 3/16 and 3/19 will probably be instrumental in determining whether or not he'll be ready to start playing on opening day (in other words, if he's not ready to play by then, he likely won't be ready for the start of the regular season).

While the Tigers would love to have Jojima back in time for the start of the season, they also don't want to rush him back before he's fully healed and risk further injury to his knee.
