Hideaki Wakui told reporters that the date for his second round of salary negotiations with the team had yet to be decided and he figured an agreement wouldn't be made before the end of the year.
"Our schedules are packed and that doesn't leave us with a lot of time," said Wakui. "If it remains like this, an agreement probably won't be reached until after the New Year."
Wakui was offered the same salary he made this season during his first round of negotiations on the 1st. Wakui wasn't satisfied with the offer and the Lions made things worse when they told him they even considered giving him a pay cut.
