Tsubakuro met with the Swallows' front office today and agreed to a 2011 salary worth 8,960yen (up from the 2,890yen he made this year) + an all you can drink pass. And perhaps as a commentary to some of the more recent events, Tsubakuro mentioned that a tape recorded wasn't used during his negotiations and that while he wanted to get married, he couldn't because he was "everyone's Tsubakuro."
The Heisei Gannenkai (Players Born in '89 Group) met for the first time on Thursday. Yoshinori Sato is the current executive secretary for the group. Seven members, including Sato, Yuki Karakawa (LOT) and Daisuke Nakai (YOM) attended the first meeting.
The group is hoping they'll become more like the 55-nenkai and play games against other teams and participate in charity events.
Norichika Aoki will be appearing on QVC Japan at midnight on the 18th. He'll be speaking on behalf of Magniflex. Aoki spoke for Maginflex on QVC Japan and helped the company set a sales high for the show.
