The Nippon Ham Fighters will be holding a welcoming ceremony for their 2010 draft picks at Kamagaya on January 16th. Since the Fighters are expected a large turnout (they usually average about 200-300 fans for these events, but are expecting a lot more because of Yuki Saito), they'll also be getting some help from Funabashi Shin Keisei Bus Company. The bus company will apparently provide free shuttle service between the Tobu Noda Kamagaya station and the Ni-gun facilities -- a total 15 round trips before and after the ceremony.
While Shin Keisei Bus Company has provided pay service between the station and the Ni-gun facilities during the Eastern League regular season, this will be the first time they've provided the service (for free) for the welcoming ceremony.
The Fighters have decided to sell season ticket packages via TV. 12 types of tickets, including VIP Seats behind home plate (500,000yen) and 1B side Star Seats (140,000yen), will be sold during the broadcast of Hokkaido Cultural Broadcasting Company's morning program, Noriyuki-no Talk de Hokkaido (9:55am - 11:20am) on the 22nd.
While the club isn't having a difficult time selling tickets right now because of how excited fans are about Saito, they also want to make sure they maximize their selling opportunities and have thus decided to turn to TV.
