Shohei Tateyama took off for his training in Hawaii on Monday.  Tateyama put on an extra 2kg  (he now weighs 95kg) and hopes to improve the quality of his pitches.

Masanori Ishikawa, Akita's sports ambassador, has apparently been asked to create the player's menu that will be used at Akita Kazuno Kokutai 2011.

Yoshinori Sato attended his Koenkai in Sendai on Monday.  About 500 supporters showed up for the event.  Takanori Sato (Ikusei 3rd round) also made an appearance at the event.

According to Nikkan Sports, the Jingu Batting Dome is apparently thinking about upgrading their machines so that they can top out at 160km/h.

The current machines only go as high as 130km/h and since Yoshinori hit 160km/h+ at Jingu Stadium this past season, the folks at the Dome are thinking more seriously about an upgrade (which could cost anywhere from 500,000 to 1.5M yen).
