Sanspo figures that the foreign players hold the key to the Giants' success next season.

According to Nikkan Sports, Hayato Sakamoto is thinking about using GReeeeN's Kiseki for the rest of his baseball career, to the point where the song becomes  "his" theme song, similar to the way Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi's Tombo became Kazuhiro Kiyohara's theme song.

And it seems his fans may have had a say in Sakamoto's thought process, as many of them apparently love hearing the song play at Tokyo Dome.

Kenji Yano may be prepared to take his negotiations into 2011, if necessary. Yano has already met with the club twice and is scheduled to meet with them for a third time this week.

Said Yano, "I had a better season this year than last year.  I want to know what it will take for a raise.  I thought getting paid for your work was what professionals did."

Ryuichi Kajimae spent about 3 hours working out at Giants Stadium on Tuesday.  Kajimae is planning on practicing at his Alma mater, Tokai University, in January.  Seems a number of players are planning on using the facilities there.

Atsushi Yachida told reporters on Tuesday that he didn't plan on taking any breaks during the winter.  On Tuesday, Yachida had the day off from winter camp, but still spent the day practicing -- like BP in the cages and lifting weights.

Tetsuya Utsumi, Tetsuya Yamaguchi, Shun Tono, Kyohei Tsuchimoto, and Jumpei Ono will all be working out together in Guam in January.  On Tuesday, Utsumi said that he planned on taking charge of the food situation (he got some pointers from the manager that works at his mother's restaurant in Tsuruga, Fukui) for the group during their stay in Guam.
