Yuki Saito (1st round) told reporters on Friday after returning from Guam that he wanted to get into the bullpen as soon as possible. Maybe even as early as rookie camp that begins on 1/12. The Buffaloes announced that Taiki Mitsumata (2nd round) will be donating money to his hometown Katsushika Ward, Tokyo. Mitsumata will be making a courtesy call to the ward on 1/5 to make his donation.
The fourth Waseda year students, about 30 in all -- including Yuki Saito (Nippon Ham, 1st round), Tatsuya Oishi (Seibu Lions, 1st round), and Yuya Fukui (Hiroshima Carp, 1st round) -- returned to Japan from a 3-night / 4-day victory trip to Guam. Seems the three were also a hit with Japanese tourists visiting Guam.
