The Yakult Swallows are thinking about tapping into the foreign fan base market in Tokyo by dipping into Facebook.
According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Bureau Of General Affairs, there are currently about 422,670 foreigners living in Tokyo (tops in the country). The Aoyama / Roppongi areas also tend to be quite popular amongst foreign travelers. The Swallows are looking at both markets as great opportunities to expand their fan base. And Facebook is apparently one of a number of options the club is currently considering as an inroads into that market.
