Alex Ramirez has batted clean-up in 402 consecutive games (since 5/4/2008 vs Yakult at Jingu).  That's just 13 games away from the club record held by Hideki Matsui (415).

Shun Tono plans to take a personal trainer to his workouts in Guam in January.

Tono will be hiring a trainer named Akihiko Watanabe.  Watanabe was Tono's catcher during high school (Hokota Dai Ichi) and is now a full-time trainer.

Tetsuya Yamaguchi wants to take better care of his body (so that he can become an "iron man" reliever) by learning about nutrition / cooking and by eating balanced meals.

Said Yamaguchi, "I need be able to watch over my own body. ... I tend to eat out a lot and the food I eat tends to be one-sided.  And I just love meat. ... I tend to get obsessed with things that I enjoy doing and I could see myself getting obsessed with something like this.  Taking care of your body is really important thing.  I want to think more carefully about eating balanced meals."

Yamaguchi saw how carefully (and seriously) Kimiyasu Kudo took his diet when they worked out together during the 2006 off-season and realized how important nutrition was.
