Bum-Ho Lee doesn't fit into the Softbank Hawks' plans for the 2011 season. As such, the team is now trying to figure out what to do with him.
The Hawks had high hopes for Lee after signing him to a 2-year deal before the start of the 2010 season. But he never really managed to turn things on and finished with a dismal slash line of .226/.355/.294.
An unnamed club source said to reporters on Wednesday, "We're thinking about all our options, including sending Lee back to the Hanwha Eagles (KBO)." At this point, it seems the Hawks might even be willing to eat a portion of Lee's contract if it makes things any easier for Hanwha.
