Shigeru Kaga is working on a new pitch, but he isn't telling the press which pitch he's working on.

"What I'm actually working is a secret, but it's something I've been working on since the fall.  I think it's going pretty well," said Kaga.

He continued, "I feel I need to add another pitch.  And I also felt that when I was pitching at the Intercontinental Cup."

Takehiro Ishikawa wants to improve his base-running skills (specifically, steal more bases) and had his running movement captured (from multiple angles), broken down, and analyzed at Ritsumei Biwako Kusatsu Campus.

"I had no idea what my body was doing when I ran.  If I can figure this out, I think I'll be able to do much better," said Ishikawa.

Ishikawa also had his body fully checked (MRI) and evaluated.

Tatsuhiko Kinjo plans on starting his training in the New Year on 1/1/2011 at 1:01:01am.

Said Kinjo, "I'm always shooting to be first.  It's partially to remind myself of why I'm wearing the uniform number 1, and that's why I want to start things with all 1s."
