Chunichi Dragons

Kazuhiro Wada worked out in Takeo, Saga today.  Practice lasted about 3.5 hours (Nikkan notes 5 hours) and included running, fielding, and BP.  He's also working with other players like Shoga Akada (ORI).

Hiroshima Carp

Kenta Maeda worked out at Mazda Stadium today and threw the ball around for the first time since fall camp.  He'll be heading out to Okinawa on the 14th to continue his training.

Yakult Swallows

Shinya Miyamoto worked out in Matsuyama, Ehime on Tuesday.  Miyamoto told reporters that since he was at an age where injuries take a long time to heal, he wanted to make sure he didn't push himself too hard during his practices.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Takehiro Ishikawa started up his training in Arizona on the 10th (Japan time: 11th).  He spent his morning in the gym (about 4 hours) and then spent about 2 hours playing catch, taking grounders, and working on his batting in the afternoon.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Shoitsu Omatsu worked out in Naha, Okinawa today and told reporters that the injury he sustained in his right leg during the Nippon Series last year was doing much better.  He's also working out with Ikuhiro Kiyota and Kazuya Fukuura.

Softbank Hawks

Seiichi Uchikawa worked out for about 3 hours in Oita today (running, playing catch, taking grounders).  He also working out with other players like Keijiro Matsumoto (YOK).

Toshiya Sugiuchi is 14 victories away from tying Daisuke Matsuzaka's 108 wins (NPB total).  He's also aiming for his 4th consecutive 200 strikeout season, 200 innings, and 20 victories.
