Chiba Lotte Marines: Takashi Ogino takes grounders with INF glove

by on Jan.13, 2011 @ 7:53 pm, under NPB

Takashi Ogino worked out at a field in Chiba today and told reporters that his right knee was at about 70% (he's working his way back from knee surgery in May last year).  During his practice session, he took fielding practice with an infielder's glove since there's a chance he might be moved to short.

Norifumi Nishimura checked out Ishigaki Central Sports Park Baseball Stadium in Ishigaki, Okinawa today and was impressed with the modifications that were made to the stadium (1.2B yen).

A parade celebrating the Marines' championship will be taking place on the 30th in Ishigaki.

I would love being right about Ogino moving to short (I was harping on it a lot last year) – it makes SO much sense.

I wonder if they put actual seats in the stadium in Ishigaki?
