The Committee to Eliminate Organized Crime from Pro Yakyu held a meeting in Tokyo today and confirmed the addition of the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association (JPBPA) into their group. The JPBPA also set their declaration, as part of a requirement to join the group, which contained the following three key points:
- We will not get involved with any organized crime groups
- We will not tolerate any foul play during games
- We will protect baseball stadiums from things like violence, threats, and unjust demands
The Committee to Eliminate Organized Crime from Pro Yakyu is now made up of all 12 NPB teams and stadiums, the National Police Agency, and the JPBPA.
