I'll be updating this post throughout the day, so be sure to keep checking back.

Chunichi Dragons

If possible, Daiki Yoshikawa (2nd round) would like a chance to take part in one of Hiromitsu Ochiai's grueling fielding sessions during spring camp.

Hanshin Tigers

Daiki Enokida (1st round) tossed his first bullpen session yesterday and pitching coach Takashi Yamaguchi told reporters that Enokida's fastball appeared much faster than what was showing on the radar gun.  About 30 people (including media) watched the bullpen session.  Bullpen catcher Daiki Katayama caught Enokida and said that the rookie wasn't throwing very hard but still had good late live on his pitches, similar to Toshiya Sugiuchi (SOF).  Enokida threw a total 50 pitches and started pitching out of the stretch on his 31st pitch.  Enokida is scheduled to toss another bullpen session today. ... Enokida tossed another 50 pitches in the bullpen today (standing catcher).

Yakult Swallows

Yuki Shichijo (2nd round) threw 30 pitches (squatting catcher) during a bullpen session today.  His next session will take place on the 23rd in front of Junji Ogawa.

Yomiuri Giants

Hirokazu Sawamura (1st round) will likely make his "pro" debut during one of three spring camp intra-squad games scheduled for 2/13, 2/15, and 2/17.  Pitching coach Kazuhisa Kawaguchi said that he'd like to give Sawamura a start (he may ask Sawamura if he has a preference for which day) and that he'd actually  like to see Sawamura get hit, since there's a lot he can learn from that. ... Former Yomiuri Giant turned baseball analyst, Hiromi Makihara, attributes Sawamura's power to his big butt.  He also said it reminded him of Suguru Egawa's backside. ... Sawamura tossed a "mock" bullpen session today -- after airing out his arm (at a max distance of about 90 meters) and getting loose, he tossed 17 pitches to a bullpen catcher at 20 meters in the outfield grass from the stretch.  He told reporters that he threw the ball at about 70%. ... Swamura met with TV announcer, and major Giant fan, Kazuo Tokumitsu today.  Footage from their meeting will be shown during the next broadcast of The Sunday NEXT on the 23rd (Nippon TV, 8:00am to 9:30am).

The rookies received a lesson in voice training and how to give an interview from Makiko Ishikawa yesterday.  Ishikawa is the principal at Nippon TV's Announcer School.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Yodai Enoshita (4th round) and Masaru Saito (6th round) both tossed bullpen sessions yesterday.  And Masahiro Inui (3rd round), together with Yuki Saito (1st round), took fielding practice outdoors for the first time.

Rakuten Eagles

Takahiro Shiomi (1st round) tossed his first bullpen session of the year today -- he threw 31 pitches to a standing catcher.

The Eagles held a staff meeting today and decided that Manabu Mima (1st round) still start the year at Ichi-gun camp while Shiomi will start the year at Ni-gun camp.

Seibu Lions

Tatsuya Oishi (1st round) threw about 60 pitches to a standing catcher in the bullpen today (his second straight bullpen in as many days).

Softbank Hawks

After fielding practice today, the rookies did a number of dashes up stairs and hills at a local shrine, followed by some weight training.
