by on Jan.24, 2011 @ 9:01 pm, under NPB

Tie-break scenarios for final Inter-league season standings have been changed this year.  Priority will be based on the following:

  1. The team with the most number number of wins
  2. The team with the best record during head to head play
  3. The team with the higher per inning run differential (avg runs scored over 1 inning - avg runs allowed over 1 inning)
  4. The team with the higher per inning earned run differential (avg earned runs scored over 1 inning - avg earned runs allowed over 1 inning)
  5. The team with the higher team batting percentage
  6. The team that had the better record the previous season

In the event there are three or more teams tied for one place, then number 2 is skipped.
