Kenshin Kawakami got a spring training invite from the Atlanta Braves on the 2nd. He is one of 20 non-roster invitees (8 of which are pitchers).
Ken Rosenthal also reports that the New York Yankees might be interested in Kawakami now that Andy Pettitte has retired. Rosenthal also notes that two NPB clubs are willing to eat more then half of Kawakami's US$6.67M contract in order to acquire the 35-year-old righty. But the NPB is probably a non-option since Kawakami has already stated that he doesn't want to return to Japan yet.
Tsuyoshi Nishioka arrived in Minneapolis, MN on the 2nd. He'll get settled and begin his house hunt on the 3rd before heading off to Fort Myers on the 5th.
