Today's practice game against the Samsung Lions:

The Lions beat the Dragons, 16-4.

Kenta Asakura started the game and gave up a run on 1 hit (a homer) over 2 innings of work.

Akihiro Maeda hit a solo homer to left in the 5th with 2 out and the Dragons down 10-0.

Felix Carrasco hit a 2-run homer to right in the 6th.

Tony Blanco started in right and hit a solo homer to left in the 9th.

Before the game, Samsung pitching coach and Eiji Ochiai spent some time exchanging greetings with his former team.  Ochiai was a pitcher in the Dragons organization between 1992 and 2006.

Wei-Ying Chen threw 80 pitches in the bullpen today.

Chen - "My leg is now completely fine.  I think I had one of my best sessions so far during spring camp.  But I'm still not throwing very hard.  And I'm still not satisfied with my feel for the ball."

Maximo Nelson spent about an 1.5 throwing 222 pitches in the bullpen today.

Nelson - "This is the first time I've thrown so much.  I want to master throwing while keeping my left shoulder closed.  Opening day starter?  If I can have the chance, I'd certainly love to."
