This post will be updated throughout the day.

Dicky Gonzalez and Jonathan Albaladejo played catch for about 15 minutes today.  Seth Greisinger also did some light workouts today and told reporters he was at about 85%.  All three pitchers were scheduled to pitch today.

Masumi Hoshino was demoted and began his workouts at Ni-gun spring camp today.  Ni-gun pitching coach Tadakatsu Kotani and a number of other coaches worth with Hoshino to help him make a  number of tweaks to his mechanics.  Kentaro Nishimura takes Hoshino's place at Ichi-gun camp.

Today's intra-squad game was canceled today due to the rain and re-scheduled for the 18th (there will be no changes to the players set to appear in the game).  And since the 18th was actually scheduled as a day off, the Giants also decided to move that day off to today.

Yoshinobu Takahashi played in left during situational BP yesterday.  Takahashi spent some time at first and right last season and has not played left since 9/18/2007.  The Giants are thinking of Takahashi as a possible option to play left in case Alex Ramirez needs a day off or leaves the game early.

The 300 pitches Shun Tono threw in the bullpen yesterday were the most he has ever thrown in one session in his career.  He was also still throwing fairly strong at the end.

Said pitching coach Masaki Saito, "When you get tired, your mechanics tend to get messed up.  But since the pitches he threw toward the end of the session still had life on them, it means he was pitching with a good form and balance."

Bannister has apparently learned how to read the kanji character for Tatsunori Hara's last name (原).  Bannister's day yesterday included running and playing catch.

Pro wrestlers Tiger Mask and Togi Makabe visited the Giants' spring camp in Miyazaki yesterday.  Hara is friends with both wrestlers; the two also visited last year.
