This post will be updated with information as it becomes available so keep checking back if you have any interest in Yuki Saito.

===== 2/17 @ 9:37pm

Saito tossed his session while Yu Darvish was still throwing his.

===== 2/17 @ 2:21pm

Tatsunori Hara and general pitching coach Kazuhisa Kawaguchi both feel that Hirokazu Sawamura (1st round) could pitch in an exhibition game against the Nippon Ham Fighters on 3/6, which could very well be a game that Saito starts.

Junji Ogawa told reporters that if Norichika Aoki plays in a practice game against the Nippon Ham Fighters on the 20th (a game Saito is scheduled to start), it'll be as the lead-off hitter.  Aoki said he wouldn't know if he'd be ready to play until he saw how things went during games today and on the 19th.

===== 2/17 @ 1:24pm

Saito threw a total 46 pitches in the bullpen today, the first 13 with Masataka Nashida behind the plate.

===== 2/17 @ 12:16pm

Saito told reporters yesterday that he probably won't throw any off-speed pitches during his practice game start against the Yakult Swallows on the 20th.  Saito threw just 1 curve (he stuck to fastball and two-seamers) during his out against Samsung and will likely stick to a similar game plan against the Swallows.  All this in an effort to continue polishing his fastball -- specifically the fastball low and away.
