Yesterday's intra-squad game:
The game ended in a 0-0 tie. Both teams combined for a total 3 hits.
Kosuke Kato entered the game in the 3rd for the whites and retired the side in order. He also recorded 2 strikeouts.
Hirotaka Egusa entered the game in the 3rd for the reds and tossed a 1-2-3 inning -- fly out to center, fly out to center, ground out to third.
Craig Brazell started at first and batted 4th. He hit a single to center in his first at bat in the 2nd inning and flew out to center in his second at bat in the 5th. Brazell has collected a hit in each of the 3 intra-squad games he has played in.

Jojima told reporters after practice today that he felt no discomfort and that he was glad to get through a full day's practice without any problems.

The Tigers closed out their spring camp in Aki, Kochi today.
Akinobu Mayumi would like to see his pitchers become more aggressive, especially with the introduction of the new regulation baseball.
Craig Brazell took 65 swings during BP today and hit 14 over the fence (including three that were hit out of the stadium out toward right). Takahiro Arai took 68 swings and hit 14 over the fence.
FYI: he has not been cleared to begin sliding practices yet.
Kenji Jojima joined the Ni-gun roster at Naruohama for practice today. And for the first time since getting surgery on his left knee, Jojima went through warm-ups with the entire team. He also played catch at a max distance of 60-70 meters and took grounders out near third.

Hiroyuki Kobayashi threw 72 pitches in the bullpen yesterday.
Kobayashi and Kyuji Fujikawa will be making appearances during one of two exhibition games against the Softbank Hawks on 3/2 and 3/3.
Takumi Akiyama held a bullpen session at Naruohama yesterday (standing catcher) in order to check on his mechanics. He is scheduled to pitch 3 innings in an Ikusei league game on 3/2.
Ken Nishimura threw 47 pitches in the bullpen (mostly fastballs) at Naruohama yesterday.
The Tigers are expecting Kenji Jojima to begin catching bullpen sessions while squatting on 3/1.
FWIW: over a 2-day period during Ni-gun spring camp, Jojima caught a couple of sessions while standing.
