Hideki Matsui spent time hitting over 100 baseballs on the 1st -- 36 during BP against a live arm and 104 soft-tosses (27 while batting from the right).  He is scheduled to play on the 2nd (exhibition game against Cleveland Indians).

Daisuke Matsuzaka will next pitch during an exhibition game on the 5th against the Florida Marlins.  Matsuzaka also reportedly woke up with a swollen right eye (just above the eye) on the 1st.  It appears he's ok though.

Koji Uehara worked out for about an hour on the 1st and kept things light (fielding practice, running).

Hisanori Takahashi faced four batters during BP on the 1st and threw 40 pitches.  He's currently scheduled to pitch during an exhibition game against the Chicago White Sox on the 4th.

Kazuki Nishijima and Kazuya Takano left for the US on Tuesday.
