Minoru Iwata will most likely pitch (relief) in today's exhibition game against the Softbank Hawks.  Iwata didn't toss a bullpen session during practice yesterday, but did play some catch and did do some running.

Tsuyoshi Shimoyanagi will probably start tomorrow's exhibition game against the Softbank Hawks.  Atsushi Nomi and Yasutomo Kubo are also scheduled to pitch in relief.  All three players tossed bullpen sessions yesterday and did some running.

The Tigers decided to keep starting pitcher information under wraps beginning with exhibition games this year under orders from Akinobu Mayumi.

Hiroyuki Kobayashi could pitch in one of the two exhibition games against the Softbank Hawks at Yahoo Dome.

Kenta Abe joined the Ichi-gun roster yesterday, took part in practice at Koshien, and headed to Fukuoka with the team.

Naoto Tsuru and Ikketsu Sho were sent down to Ni-gun -- Sho will pitch in an Ikusei League game against Chunichi later today (in relief) while Takumi Akiyama starts the game; Tsuru will likely pitch in the next Ikusei League game.

A little more on Kenji Jojima's practice session yesterday: during the bullpen session with Jason Standridge, he caught 40 pitches with his left knee on the ground and the remaining 10 pitches in his regular crouch; during indoor BP, he swung the bat about 40 times; he also ran some dashes.

Daiki Enokida worked out at Koshien for the first time in his career on Tuesday.
