Kento Tsujimoto has been working out in Arizona. On Thursday (3/3, US time), Tsujimoto found some relief when he finally received a minor league contract from the NY Mets.
Said Tsujimoto, "I finally got the contract. I'm flat out happy."
Tsujimoto struggled to make it with the Hanshin Tigers and spent a full season playing for the Na Koa Ikaika Maui last season. He also spent some time trying to figure out what he needed to do in order to gain the attention of MLB clubs.
"I realized I couldn't accomplish anything more by throwing overhand," said Tsujimoto. "It's not like I'm all that tall either. And I don't exactly throw hard. So in order to get the scouts to take a look, I dropped my arm angle."

Hi, any idea where Kent is now? I’ve tried to track down where he’s playing and can’t find anything current. Thanks, Scott Honolulu, Hawaii
