Tatsuya Oishi (1st round) worked out at Seibu 2 Stadium today and threw 28 pitches in the bullpen in preparation for his Ikusei League start against Rakuten tomorrow. ... Kazuyuki Hoashi also worked out at Seibu 2 Stadium today (like playing catch and running). He's scheduled to pitch 3 innings in tomorrow's exhibition game against Hanshin.

Norifumi Nishimura is hoping the younger players will make the best of the remaining 10 exhibition games on the schedule.
Nishimura - This will be a very important time for even players that have done well up until now. It won't be enough [for the youngers] to do as well as the veterans. They'll need to step it up more."
Nishimura will also be making his debut as an author with two books set to hit store shelves this month -- Wa-no Chikara (和のちから) from Diamond Publications and Wa - Shinjinuku Chikara (和－信じぬく力) from Ushio Publishing.
Tomotaka Sakaguchi got his right foot (pinky toe) checked out at a hospital today. And according to the 26-year-old, it isn't a serious injury and that it was feeling much better than yesterday.
The Buffaloes announced that they signed business agree with KAINO International (a business involved in provide women with health and beauty services). As part of the agreement, KAINO will support the Buffaloes' cheerleading team with things like hair cuts and manicures.
The Buffaloes' cheerleading team will also be getting a new set of uniforms that will be unveiled during a pep rally party on the 8th.
Kazuo Matsui worked out at second during fielding practice at Mazda Stadium today. Matsui probably won't see much of any playing time at second since the team already has other players like Yosuke Takasu and Kensuke Uchimura competing for that spot, but it seems he still wanted to make sure he was prepared, just in case.
