From exhibition games on the 8th:

Pittsburgh Pirates 5 - Minnesota Twins 2
Tsuyoshi Nishioka started at second and batted 2nd (replaced by a pinch-runner in the 4th).  He went 1-for-2: ground out to second, single to left.

Colorado Rockies 4 - Chicago Cubs 0
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted 6th (removed on defense in the 6th).  He went 0-for-1 with a walk: ground out to the pitcher, walk.

LA Dodgers 7 - Milwaukee Brewers 1
Takashi Saito started the game and gave up a run over an inning of work (1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO, 1 HR).

LA Angels 2 - Texas Rangers 1
Hisanori Takahashi entered the game in the 5th, with no score, and did not allow a run over 2 innings of work (2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO, 0 HR).  He was the winning pitcher on record.

Ichiro Suzuki worked out for about 2 hours on the 8th.  He also took a total 108 swings of the bat and hit 13 over the fence.

Ichiro also spent some time signing autographs after practice.

Hideki Matsui is suffering with allergies and told reporters that a nose cream he's using hasn't helped at all.  For practice on the 8th, he took 86 swings of the bat and did not hit any over the fence (he purposely didn't swing the bat very hard).

Daisuke Matsuzaka threw 56 pitches in the bullpen on the 7th in preparation for an exhibition game start against the Tampa Bay Rays on the 10th.

Hiroki Kuroda gave up 3 runs over 4.1 innings of work in a practice game against the Seattle Marines on the 8th.  He threw a total 64 pitches, allowed 5 hits, and struck out 6.

Kenshin Kawakami threw 40 pitches during BP on the 8th.  It was his third BP session of the spring.  Assuming he's physically ok, he'll probably pitch in an exhibition game against the St. Louis Cardinals on the 10th.
