From exhibition games on the 13th:

Oakland A's 9 - Colorado Rockies 4
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted 5th (replaced by a pinch-runner in the 7th).  He went 2-for-2 with an RBI: walk, solo homer to right, single to left, walk.

Minnesota Twins 9 - NY Yankees 2
Tsuyoshi Nishioka started at second and batted 2nd (replaced in the 5th on defense).  He went 1-for-3 with a run scored: sac bunt, double to right (stole third), ground out to second, ground out to short.

Chicago Cubs 4 - LA Dodgers 3
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted 1st.  He went 1-for-4: fly out to left, strikeout, ground out to second, RBI double to right, IBB.

Chicago White Sox 6 - LA Dodgers 1
Hiroki Kuroda started the game and gave up 4 runs over 6 innings of work: 6 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO, 2 HR.

Milwaukee Brewers 7 - KC Royals 5
Takashi Saito started the game and gave up 2 runs over an inning of work: 1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 SO, 0 HR.

Ichiro Suzuki did not play in Sunday's game against the LA Angels, but did practice for about 1.5 hours -- after warm-ups and playing catch, he took 38 swings during BP and hit 10 over the fence; he also took 32 swings in the indoor cages.  He is scheduled to play on Monday.

Daisuke Matsuzaka had about a 20 minute meeting with Terry Francona and pitching coach Curt Young after practice on the 12th.  They apparently talked about the upcoming pitching schedule and training schedule.

Matsuzaka threw 40 pitches in the bullpen on Sunday in preparation for his start on Tuesday.

Hideki Okajima played some catch on Sunday and is scheduled to make an outing against the NY Yankees on Monday.

Ryota Igarashi gave up a run over an inning of work in relief during an intra-squad game on the 13th.  The run scored when Igarashi threw a wild pitch (to the second batter he faced) after surrendering a triple to the lead-off batter.

Kei Igawa is supposed to arrive in Japan sometime later today. ... Takashi Saito is also thinking about returning to Japan to check on his family. ... On Sunday, Matsuzaka and Okajima videotaped a message calling out to people, in English, for their support and helping rescue and relief efforts in northern Japan. ... A moment of silence was held before the Milwaukee Brewers - KC Royals game on the 13th. ... The LA Dodgers and a local TV station will be working together to collect donations for rescue and relief efforts to northern Japan.
