Hanshin Tigers

Kenji Jojima was the starting catcher and batted 7th during today's practice game against the Orix Buffaloes (replaced after 3 innings).  After the game, he told reporters he didn't run into any problems during the game.  This was Jojima's first game as a catcher since his left knee surgery.

Yomiuri Giants

Hideki Asai started a Ni-gun game against Seibu today and gave up 5 runs on 9 hits (including a 3-run homer to Masahiro Abe) over 3 innings of play.  The game was also called after 3 innings due to strong winds.

The Giants held their pep rally today as planned.  A moment of silence was held for those that lost their lives in the earthquakes.  Donation boxes were also set up at various locations where the rally took place.

Yakult Swallows

Yakult held a stockholder's meeting and a board of directors meeting today.  There was no mention of last year's rumors of the Swallows being put up for sale.

Team operations advisor Kesanori Kurashima and director Michio Oda (小田実知男 = ?) also officially stepped down today.

Hiroshima Carp

Yuya Fukui (1st round) pitched in a Ni-gun game against Softbank today; he entered the game in the 4th and gave up 2 runs over 4 innings of work.  He also topped out at 145km/h and struck out 6, including 3 in a row in the 6th.
