Hanshin Tigers

Ikketsu Sho started a Ni-gun game against Softbank today and did not give up a run over 5 innings of work (he did allow 2 hits).

Atsushi Nomi pitched during a practice game against Orix yesterday.  His next start will come on opening day (3/25) against the Yakult Swallows (at Jingu) on 7 days of rest.

Kenji Jojima is next scheduled to play (as a catcher, for about 5 innings) on the 18th against the Orix Buffaloes.  After that, it'll be a game against the Nippon Ham Fighters on the 20th (7 innings).

Craig Brazell is 15-for-29 in games against other teams since the start of exhibition game play; Shunsuke Fujikawa is 17-for-45.

Yomiuri Giants

It seems part of the reason why the Giants moved their practice game against the Chiba Lotte Marines on the 19th from Tokyo Dome to QVC Marine Field is to conserve energy.

Yakult Swallows

Yuki Shichijo (2nd round) may be one step closer to finding a spot in the starting rotation after tossing 4 shutout innings during a practice game against the Seibu Lions yesterday.

Hiroshima Carp

Kenta Maeda told reporters that he would be ready for opening day during his workouts at Mazda Stadium yesterday.

Chiba Lotte Marines

The Marines originally planned to play an intra-squad game yesterday but canceled it due to a scheduled blackout.  They did hold practices instead (infield drills and BP).

Nippon Ham Fighters

The Fighters will probably try to schedule 10+ practice games before the start of the regular season.  They'll most likely spend most of the time playing / practicing at Sapporo Dome this month before going out on the road next month.

Rakuten Eagles

The team borrowed Nagoya Stadium yesterday and held a practice session that lasted about 3 hours.
