Chunichi Dragons

Kazuki Yoshimi's next regular season start will likely come on the 28th against Yokohama (at Nagoya Dome).  He currently has a 10 game winning streak against the Bay Stars (going back to 4/20/2008).

Yoshimi pitched well in his first start (7 shutout innings against Yakult on 4/20) but was not involved in the final decision.

Hanshin Tigers

Atsushi Nomi will likely start tomorrow's game against the Hiroshima Carp (at Mazda Stadium).

Yomiuri Giants

Shun Tono will likely start tomorrow's game against the Yakult Swallows.

Hirokazu Sawamura visited the Eiji Sawamura statue after practice at Shizuoka Kusanagi Baseball Stadium today.  His next start will likely be against the Yakult Swallows on the 28th.

The Giants originally planned to to have the trio of Yuya Kubo, Levi Romero, and Tetsuya Yamaguchi pitch the final three innings of their games, but with Yamaguchi working through a left chest strain, it'll probably go Kubo, Daisuke Ochi, and Romero.

The media learned today that the Giants are working on scheduling their 6/29 game against Yakult at Koriyama Kaiseizan Baseball Stadium.  The game was originally scheduled to take place in Utsunomiya, but the team can no longer use the stadium due to the March 11 earthquakes.

Yakult Swallows

The Swallows worked out for about 2 hours at Shizuoka Kusanagi Baseball Stadium today.

Hiroshima Carp

Kenta Maeda is scheduled to start tomorrow's game against the Hanshin Tigers.  Maeda's first start of the year was against the Tigers and it didn't go very well: 6 IP, 6 H, 5 R, 5 ER.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Daisuke Miura joined the Ichi-gun team for practice today at Hamamatsu Stadium in Shizuoka.  He could pitch during the team's 3-game series against the Chunichi Dragons that begins tomorrow.
