I'll keep this thread updated over the course of the day.
Yuki Saito started his third game of the season and failed to become the first pitcher in franchise history to win his first three pro starts. Said Saito, "I think I felt pretty good out there. I had a good feel for the ball and was going at it from the very start. But, I didn't have very good control today."
He also said, "I think I got a pretty good feel for things. I gave up a run and the team came back and scored some runs for me. I regret not being able to protect that lead."
Asides from the 4 hits he allowed over 6 innings, Saito also issued 5 walks and had threw one wild pitch.
Masataka Nashida's comments on Saito's outing:
In my opinion, I think he did fine. ... He's improving, little by little. I think he's getting a handle of things.
Saito topped out at 144km/h. Breakdown of his 112 pitches: 44 sliders, 26 fastballs, 19 cutters, 12 shutos, 4 change-ups, 4 forks, and 3 curves.
