Oakland A's 3 - Cleveland Indians 1
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 0-for-3: ground out to third, fly out to center, ground out to third.

LA Angels 5 - Boston Red Sox 3
Hideki Okajima entered the game in the 7th with a runner on first and 1 out and retired the next two batters he faced to get out of the inning.  Okajima retired the side in order in the 8th and then gave up two consecutive 1-out singles in the 9th before getting pulled from the game (of which one went on to cross the plate).  Final line: 2 IP, 8 BF, 30-17 NP-S, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 SO, 0 HR.

Daisuke Matsuzaka entered the game in the 13th and gave up 2 runs over an inning of work for his 3rd loss of the season (he's now 2-3 on the year).  Final line: 1 IP, 7 BF, 20-13 NP-S, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 0 SO, 0 HR.

SF Giants 2 - NY Mets 0
Ryota Igarashi entered the game in the 7th with a runner on first, 1 out, and the Mets down 2-0.  Igarashi got out of the inning without allowing the inherited runner to score and also tossed a scoreless 8th.  Final line: 1.2 IP, 6 BF, 24-12 NP-S, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 SO, 0 HR.

Daisuke Matsuzaka tossed 38 pitches in the bullpen on the 4th in preparation for his start on the 6th against the Minnesota Twins.

Tsuyoshi Nishioka starting taking fielding practice on the 3rd (about a month after he fractured his left fibula).  Nishioka took grounders at both second and short and also took some light BP in the cages.  And according to the Star Tribune's Joe Christensen, Ron Gardenhire is having Nishioka takes grounders at short in case he wants to give him a shot at short because of Alexi Casilla's struggles (4 errors and a .194 BA and .257 OBP in 21 games).

Hideki Matsui collected two infield for the third time in his MLB career yesterday.  And the last time he did it was on 9/18/2004 (vs Boston).
