Did the Baystars win 2 in a row? Could the Baystars possibly sweep the tigers? Let’s hope so…..

I has happened before . . . back in 1998. In fact, I recall a series at Koshien that season in which the BayStars not only swept Hanshin but they also held them scoreless for all three games. Of course, that was back when Hanshin was the joke of the league like Yokohama is now.

Hold your keyboard EJH….Yokohama is coming back…..Seems like they are in a winning mode this year to prove others they can win……..

Steve: When did you become plural? Are you trying to make Yokohama’s fan base look bigger?

I get the feeling your are a relatively new BayStars fan. You must be unaware that Yokohama has many, many good and decent fans that inspire the team to give them just a little bit of hope each season until about June (or in recent seasons late April) before crushing them completely on their way down to 6th place. My father-in-law, an enthusiastic but cynical long-time Yokohama supporter (and I mean long; the dude remembers their first championship in 1960) tells me every year not to take the team seriously, that they’ll be in last place before long and he is, as we all know, almost always right about this.

By the way, is that a typo, or did Yokohama really just sweep Hanshin?
