The 12 teams of the NPB and the Japan Professional Baseball Players Association met today and decided to push back the first round of the Senryokugai period and the schedule for the 12-team tryouts.

The first round of the Senryokugai period will begin 10 days to 2 weeks later than the originally scheduled 10/1.  And the 12-team tryouts will be pushed back about 2 weeks: the first round will take place at the end of November and the second round in early December.

The 2011 Farm Championships and the Fall Kyoiku League will also be delayed (dates will be finalized during an executive committee meeting on the 16th).
