Team owner Shinya Sakai told reporters he felt the team had more than enough talent to compete and added that he felt the team was in turmoil (not functioning as a unit) and that Akinobu Mayumi wasn't being assertive enough. But he also said it was important not to panic since he was sure things would turn around sooner or later.

Tomokazu Oka has been making adjustments down at Ni-gun since he was taken off the active roster on 4/20. He pitched in an exhibition game against TDK (Industrial League) on the 6th and tossed 2 shutout inning. He'll now get to start a Ni-gun game against Yakult today.
