Chunichi Dragons

The Dragons worked out at QVC Marine Field today.  Joel Guzman got in a little extra work in the outfield (fly balls and balls off the ball).

Hanshin Tigers

Jason Standridge will likely start tomorrow's game against the Orix Buffaloes.  His father, Wayne, is currently in Japan and was at Koshien Stadium.

Ikusei INF Kosei Fujii worked out at Narohama for about 2 hours during his day off today.  There was initially some concern that he may have suffered an injury to his right calf after he tweaked it during pre-game practice on the 15th (Ni-gun game against Hiroshima).  But it appears he's ok and is even scheduled to play in tomorrow's Ikusei game against Koga Kenko Iryo Senmon College.

Yomiuri Giants

Shinnosuke Abe and Tetsuya Yamaguchi worked out with the Ichi-gun roster today.  As mentioned earlier today, both Abe (he'll be the starting catcher and bat fifth) and Yamaguchi will be added to the active roster tomorrow, in addition to Taishi Ota.

Yakult Swallows

The Swallows announced today that beginning on 5/24, they'll be selling beer tickets for home games between 6/24 and 9/4.  Each reserved seat A ticket (limited to 150 per game) will come with 3 vouchers for free beer.

Hiroshima Carp

Kan Otake (right shoulder) and Katsuhiro Nagakawa (right elbow) joined the Ichi-gun roster for practice yesterday.  The Carp activated Nagakawa yesterday and could activate Otake shortly (he started a Ni-gun game against Hanshin on the 14th and tossed 5 shutout innings).

Otake worked out with the Carp at Mazda Stadium today (with a focus on lower body exercises) and could be on track to get an Inter-league start some time during May.

Yokohama Bay Stars

Takao Obana started working with Takayuki Makka on his pitching mechanics today (for about 15 minutes, specifically with his arm slot and lower body usage).
