Hanshin Tigers

Takahiro Arai broke the team's streak of 46 consecutive innings without an RBI when he launched his 5th homer of the season in the 4th inning of tonight's game against the Seibu Lions.  He also broke out of an 0-for-17 slump.

Takashi Toritani was held out of the starting line-up again tonight (although he did get a pinch-hit AB in the 4th).

Beginning with their game on the 25th and through to 6/29, the Tigers will sell some Pacific League lunch boxes (limited quantities) at Koshien Stadium.

According to Nikkan Sports, the front office (as in president Nobuo Minami and owner Shinya Sakai) would like the team to get back to being a 500 ball club before the end of Inter-league play.

Yomiuri Giants

Shun Tono threw 73 pitches in the bullpen at Giants Stadium today.  Tono will try to snap out of a 4-game losing streak during his next start.

Hayato Sakamoto spent about 2 hours taking BP during team practices today.

Yakult Swallows

Commemorative 100 win Masanori Ishikawa memorabilia will go on sale beginning on the 25th.  Items include an autographed jerseys (89,250 yen, limited to 50); autograph baseballs (18,900 yen, limited to 150); and an autographed sheet (15,750 yen, limited to 100).

The Swallows will be hosting Matsuyama Day 2011 at Jingu Stadium on 6/3 (vs Nippon Ham).
