Games from the 26th:

Oakland A's 4 - LA Angels 3
Hideki Matsui was the starting DH and batted fifth.  He went 1-for-4: single to left (run scored), fly out to right, fly out to left, line out to second.

Hisanori Takahashi entered the game in the 9th and retired the side in order.  Final line: 1 IP, 3 BF, 9-5 NP-S, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 SO, 0 HR.

Baltimore Orioles 6 - Kansas City Royals 5
Koji Uehara entered the game in the top of the 8th (1 out, no one on) with the score tied at 5 and did not allow any runs to score over 1.2 innings of work.  Final line: 1.2 IP, 6 BF, 18-14 NP- S, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 SO, 0 HR.

Chicago Cubs 9 - New York Mets 3
Kosuke Fukudome started in right and batted third.  He went 3-for-4: grounds out to third, infield single, walk, infield single, home run (1) to right.


Hideki Okajima joined the Triple-A Pawtucket team for practice on the 26th.


Tsuyoshi Nishioka is scheduled to get an x-ray on his left leg on the 27th in order to check on how his leg is healing.  The timetable for his return will be updated based on the results.  Assuming no problems, Nishioka could play in a practice / rehab game on the 28th.  On the 26th, Nishioka worked on fielding drills, took some BP, and did some light running.


Takashi Saito was moved from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL on the 25th.
