Chunichi Dragons

Hitoki Iwase recorded his 8th save of the year and is now 2 saves away from tying the NPB record of 286 saves (held by Shingo Takatsu).

Hanshin Tigers

Before today's victory against Takashi Kawai (RAK), the Tigers had dropped 7 games in a row when opponents started a left-handed pitcher.

Naoto Tsuru threw 51 pitches in the bullpen today after his Ni-gun start (vs Chunichi) was washed out due to the rain.

Yomiuri Giants

Seth Greisinger will likely start tomorrow's make-up game against the Chiba Lotte Marines (he threw 35 pitches today before the game was called).

Tetsuya Utsumi threw a career high 152 pitches last night in tossing the team's first complete game in 35 games.  Said Utsumi, "I didn't know I threw that many...  I thought it was more like 110 pitches or so.  I didn't feel tired at all."

Yoshiyuki Kamei took BP today at Giants Stadium for the first time since fracturing his right ring finger.

Hiroshima Carp

Chad Tracy borrowed Takasu Matsumoto's (bullpen catcher) uniform on Saturday because he forgot his at the team hotel.
