Today's Ni-gun game was rained out again. That will now push Yuki Saito's first rehab outing to 6/4 (Ni-gun start against Yokohama; skipping over the Rakuten series since it'll be on the road and at Rifu).
Since both his scheduled start yesterday and his re-scheduled relief outing today were rained, Saito tossed 123 pitches in the bullpen today.
Eiichi Koyano's work outs at Kamagaya on Saturday included playing catch and soft-toss BP. Koyano suffered a left hamstring strain on the 24th and will probably require about 3 weeks for a full recovery.
The Buffaloes had a chance to avoid a losing record this month, but with their loss today, they are now 9-12 with one game remaining. That's two losing months in a row.
Sports Hochi mentions that the Buffaloes might go ahead and activate Chihiro Kaneko even though his rehab start was rained out today (for the second time in a row).
