Hitoshi Tamura (left pinky) may not return to the active roster until some time in July.

Chiba Lotte Marines

Takashi Ogino (right knee) and Ikuhiro Kiyota (right index finger) started their rehab work at Lotte Urawa Stadium today.  Ogino's workouts included walking and lots of stretching while Kiyota did some running and took soft toss using his left hand.

Kiyota is working towards a return sometime in July (at the earliest) and Ogino has a slightly broader goal (at this point) of returning sometime this season.

Nippon Ham Fighters

Yoshio Itoi was back in the starting line-up again (he started in center, batted third, and went 1-for-4 with 2 RBI) after missing 2 games due to tightness in his back.

Rakuten Eagles

Hisashi Iwakuma (right shoulder) threw the ball from behind the bullpen mound (his left leg was coming down on the incline behind the rubber) today in order to check on his balance while throwing.  Iwakuma is hoping to throw off the bullpen mound to a standing catcher sometime this week.
